#HaddiesHaven: ARC Review of Under the Peaches by Shana Vanterpool | #Review @shanavauthor #NAlit #Contemporary #ForbiddenRomance #Romance

Welcome back, Invaders! Today, I am bringing you another review. What, another one? Yes. I have been reading up the flagpole and have been having more than enough time to sit down and focus all my thoughts into making review posts, outside the review tours I have been participating in. I love this author and I hope you do too!

Under The Peaches
(Teaching Love #1)
by Shana Vanterpool
Release: Feb. 28th, 2017
NA, Forbidden Romance, Romance, Student/Teacher

Unwanted. A word eighteen-year-old Kaelyn Jefferies knows better than most. Given up at birth, she knows nothing of love. Now she navigates this world blind, worrying only about her present to survive. And sometimes when you’re the only guide you have, you don’t always do what’s best for yourself.

After another confrontation with her bully, Kaelyn flees to her hiding spot to be alone and nurse her wounds. Instead, she finds Julian Ean, the gorgeous twenty-four-year-old calculus teacher the other girls whisper about, nursing a few of his own. Until that moment, Mr. Ean was simply a man she passed in the halls. Afterwards, he is impossible to ignore … to forget.

Mr. Ean only wanted to help Kaelyn. Patch her up and show her she was worth so much more than she was giving herself. He didn’t mean to fall in love with a student. It’s wrong, he knows it, but he can’t help himself around her. Not when her pain feels like his.

Kaelyn didn’t mean to fall in love with a teacher. It’s wrong, she knows it, but after Mr. Ean shows her what a real smile feels like, there’s no going back after that …

Book one in the Teaching Love Series, comes a poignant coming-of-age novel showcasing the beauty of strength and the delicious lure of forbidden love by Shana Vanterpool.

Under The Peaches (Teaching Love #1)Under The Peaches by Shana Vanterpool
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

DISCLAIMER: I received an e-ARC of this book for honest review.

Read in one sitting over the weekend. Once I got into it, I could not stop. Shana writes with integrity. Her characters have strong structure. Nothing wishy-washy about them. I know what it is like to be a foster kid. Only difference is that my parents got me back and I was never given away after birth. That alone breaks my heart. And the bullying? Sheesh! I wanted to slap those girls upside their faces.

Kaelyn (Kael, as Julian nicknames her) is that girl you just want to hug and let her know that it's all going to be okay in the end. The bond that forms between Kael and Julian (Mr. Ean) is so delicate. One wrong move and they could both have some very serious trouble on their hands. There is restraint at first but then it just all falls out the window. Attraction is not always easy to fight. I know tend to say this a lot. But this had me screaming, crying . . . I take that back. I was sobbing. Legit tears. Heart utterly shattered and my blood smeared all over my living room and couch. I need to know what happens now! C'mon! Shana, I love you. But I need more. Now!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure to pre-order you copy of this book, because you do NOT want to miss out. It's only $.99! I do not know the details other that the price could change after release. I'm hoping it doesn't because I usually purchase most of my books LONG after they have been released, and usually at full price, when I have the cha-ching! to spend. Comment below and tell me if you have read any of Shana's other books. I love her Crystal Gulf novels, published by Swoon Romance. Books 1&2 were amazing. I am . . . patiently waiting for the release of her mini prequel/sequel, Restore Me, as well as the third book in the series, Ruin Me. I can't wait!
