#HaddiesHaven: Let's spread the word! | @YABoundToursPR @blanchardbooks @NickiElson3D

Hey fellow bookworms! What?! Another compiled review?! Yes, and here is why: Right now, I just can't get to writing a single post for every book I read/review, so making these short review posts helps me share with you, as well as spread the word on these amazing reads! You know the drill: Titles are linked to Goodreads. Some of these books were ARCs from the authors (or their PAs), XpressoBookTours, YABoundBookTours, and these are my honest words on my reading experiences. Books will have complete synopsis' and then my thoughts. (I DO NOT RETELL THE ENTIRE SYNOPSIS WHEN IT IS RIGHT THERE.) ENJOY!
P.S. Some of these books I should have shared reviews for a while ago, but it's been a hectic couple of months. So, I apologize to the authors, PAs and the

High School senior Lily Rhodes has been in love with her brother’s best friend nearly all her life. When nineteen year old Jake joins the Marines and is shipped overseas, she worries she’ll never see him again, and wishes she’d been braver before he left. Despite the fact he's loved Lily for the past three years, he no longer feels worthy of someone like her. Not one to back down from a challenge, Lily knows the best things in life are worth fighting for.

DISCLAIMER: I received an e-ARC of this book for honest review.

I must say that I had high hopes for this book. Friends (brother's best friend) turned lovers. Second chances to a degree. Wounded army hero. The works. The author tries to bring several different elements together. The concept intrigued me. These are all elements I LOVE in books. My auto-drive reads. I really did enjoy the story. I enjoyed the characters. I just felt like the book was missing something. I actually want to read the book again, because I would definitely want to read it more than once.

MY RATING: 3.5 STARS.
This book is definitely fits into the cute, sweet section of the bookshelf. I might find myself liking it even better after reading a second time around. I definitely have mixed feelings about this book. But for now, I think it is a fair read.

Prude
(Labeled Book #1)
by Jordan S. Gray
Rebecca Washington is a girl in control. Well, at least when it comes to acing her college classes. The rest of the time, she seems to be at the mercy of everyone else. Like when she’s dumped in front of her peers, hit on right afterwards by a jerk for some stupid bet, and then paired up with the same jerk for a lit project.

In order to maintain her perfect GPA, Rebecca will need to give a stellar presentation while ignoring the prodding eyes that will be staring at her. When her partner, Derek, starts to ease her fears of public speaking with his laid back attitude, she’s forced to confront her new feelings about him and his charming smile. Rebecca knows falling for a guy who teases her for being a prudish nerd can only end badly, but what if it’s just another thing out of her control?

This book I am still in the middle of reading. I feel bad that I let so much make me put it off for so long. XpressoTours sent me an ARC and I am determined to finish it ASAP.

Warrior
(First to Fight #2)
by Nicole Blanchard

I thought it was just one night with my brother’s best friend. The boy I had dreamt about since he gave me my first kiss, under the lights of the Ferris wheel.

I knew he was about to leave for a year – no chance for a future.

But our one night together would create memories for a lifetime.

Our paths crossed again, but I had lied, and he was no longer the man he once was. He was warring against demons. Against the silence that was threatening to swallow him. And I had kept a secret from him, one he would never forgive me for.

But my secret was about to be ripped open. Displayed for the world on national news. And I had only one way to repair the damage.

I had to trust the man I lied to.

The man I never got the chance to make a life with.

The only man who could save what we had created together.

I have this as an audiobook and wow! Ben and Olivia's romance is so . . . heartfelt and touching. And as they grow together then apart for a season only to come back together again, its really a great story. Love the HEA and no cliffhanger. My kind of book.
(Actually finished this a while back, just never marked it down. And received the audio book from the author in a giveaway - with request of reviewing.)

(The IT series, #2)
by Nicki Elson

Three dates. It was only supposed to be three dates—he was only meant to be a fling. I didn’t want to feel all of this for him. And I certainly hadn’t counted on him keeping such a deal-breaking secret from me.

Till death is too long for Trish Cerise. The twenty-seven year old receptionist is tired of men asking for her forever when she just wants to keep things light and fun. World-traveling businessman Adam Helms steps off the elevator and into her life with his own reasons for keeping relationships at a safe distance. Together, they’re destined for the most glorious short-term romance in history…until they break their own rules and Trish learns something about Adam she wishes she never knew.

I know a future with him is impossible, but how do you break away from such an intense, consuming, heart-crushing love when it hooks you? ~Trish

When It Holds You
(The IT series #2)
by Nicki Elson

Virtual. That’s where she was supposed to stay—only in my online gaming life. I never intended to meet up with her in person. And I certainly hadn’t counted on her being who she is.

Cliff Walsh has dozens of hot, smart, and willing paramours in his video games. Who needs to look further? The twenty-eight year old attorney is done getting his heart smashed by real-life women who fit his perfect-mate checklist. From now on, he vows to keep his romances digital-only…until a certain redheaded gamer twists all his preconceptions and touches a place in his heart he didn’t know existed.

I always thought I knew what love would look like, but sometimes you don’t recognize it until the moment when it holds you. ~Cliff

This is a stand-alone novel in The It Series family.

I sharing When It Holds You because I am currently starting it over. The author had given me an ARC and I never got around to it. I feel so bad about that. But, on the bright side, I am totally loving it. I can't wait to share it with you!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you were intrigued by some of the titles shared here. Or if you've already heard of some of them, feel free to comment below and let's get a discussion going!
